Open to all, Conference will formally start at 10.30am (but people are welcome to join us at any point during the day) and feature a range of topics of interest to the Addison’s community. We also have injection training and group chats with other people with Addison's .

We are delighted to be joined by Dr. Georgina Russell as our keynote speaker who will be talking about “Glucocorticoid replacement therapy and novel approaches for monitoring and treatment.”, followed by a question & answer session.

Georgina Russell will be joined by :

  • Lisa Shepherd, Endocrinology Advanced Nurse Practitioner, talking about her research that will help us answer the question - 'How do we prevent adrenal crisis from 'Appening?'
  • Helen Loo, Endocrine Specialist Nurse introducing the findings of her research into the ability of alert dogs to be successfully be trained to detect low cortisol levels in patients with Addison's Disease
  • 5 Emergency injection training workshops throughout the day
  • 'Meeting each other' sessions for T1 diabetes, forum friends, families and young people.

The official AGM will take place straight after lunch. If you book a Conference ticket, that includes the AGM, lunch, and refreshments.

Injection Training Sessions

You'll be asked when you book which is your preferred session. While we can't guarantee you will get the session you have stated, we'll try our best to get your preferred time.

Meeting each other sessions

To help us assess how many people are interested in each session you'll be asked which if any you are interested in. There's no need to book for these sessions.
