Do you have Addison’s or adrenal insufficiency? Please consider completing this new research questionnaire looking at motion sickness, led by Abigail Lee at the University of Leicester.

The aim of this research is to investigate whether those with Addison's disease or adrenal insufficiency are more susceptible to motion sickness in comparison to the general population.

Abigail tells us: “I was diagnosed 5 years ago and have become a member of various support groups including the Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group (ADSHG). I decided to retrain after I became ill and am researching whether those with Addison’s disease or adrenal insufficiency are more susceptible to motion sickness than the general population.

“Continued symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, balance problems and nausea can persist despite glucocorticoid replacement therapy and research exploring links between the endocrine system and vestibular function is limited. My research at the University of Leicester is to explore these processes and potential links.”

Who can take part

Participants you have either Addison’s disease or adrenal insufficiency and are 18 years or older.

• The questionnaire will take approximately 15 minutes.
• The closing date is the 23^rd July 2021 and the results will be available from the 10^th September 2021.
