Dr. Sofia Llahana was awarded the ADSHG Alfred Potter Award research grant award to support a national study she is leading on looking at factors that influence self-management with the aim to develop a Position Statement on patient education and support services for patients with adrenal insufficiency.

Sofia advocates on the importance of holistic self-management for adrenal insufficiency, and the support required for patients and those close to them, to understand their condition, optimise daily treatment and prevent and manage a life-threatening adrenal crisis.
