Our cover features a beautiful painting created by volunteer Charlotte aka Painted by Mo, who has Addison's disease herself.

Charlotte explains the inspiration behind her painting: “Winter is my favourite season of the year and I loved the idea of creating a cosy winter scene. One of the walkers is wearing a bag – with the ADSHG logo on! This represents one of the most significant adjustments I’ve had to make since being diagnosed; I no longer go anywhere without my bag containing my emergency kit and steroid card.”

Sick Day Rules

Following the early release of the new NHS Steroid Emergency Card back in March to keep patients with Addison's or adrenal insufficiency safe during the COVID-19 crisis, the NHS steroid card has been updated and physical copies will be available to order from Tuesday 18th August 2020 for hospital teams!
